About This Spot

Stepping into Toro Loco feels like entering a familiar corner of community life, where the spirit of an old 1950s diner meets the vibrant flavors of Mexican tradition. The building’s vintage charm wraps around you, setting a relaxed and warm tone that invites lingering conversations and shared plates. It’s a place where time slows just enough to enjoy the subtle hum of friendly chatter and the soft clatter of dishes.

The atmosphere here balances comfortable casualness with a touch of lived-in character, a spot that locals return to not just for the food but for the feeling of being welcomed home. Service flows with genuine hospitality—attentive but easygoing—matching the steady rhythm of a neighborhood gathering place.

On the table, the food captures the essence of classic Mexican fare with a fresh, hearty spirit. Tacos come packed with layers of well-seasoned meats and bright accents, while seafood dishes bring a lively coastal touch, reflecting the variety and depth that these flavors can hold. The presence of warm, fresh chips and generous bowls of salsa and queso hint at a kitchen that values comfort and indulgence without pretense.

Whether you’re settling in after a day on the road or marking an evening out with friends and family, Toro Loco offers a quietly joyful experience. It’s a restaurant where the dishes invite you to slow down, savor the textures, and appreciate the simple pleasure of good food shared in good company.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. This looks like it was a diner previously and they kept the same vibe. We had fast and friendly service and recommend if you get a chance.

A change of pace for my Mexican food. Drove by this place a few times and finally stopped! Best decision! First off, the business is in an old 50s dinner...very cool. The food was delicious, full of flavor. Everything is mixed so well. I had the shrimp taco salad and vaca loca, which has all types of meats, chicken, steak, carnitias, chorizo, served over rice and beans..... and i asked for pineapples. Chips and salsa are probably the best around in the tri-state area of WV, KY, and OH. Check it out....you won't be disappointed

Amazing fresh food. The chips come out fresh and hot. They give you plenty of salsa so that you never need to ask for more. The employees bare super friendly. I'm excited to see what the additional room looks like when it's finished.

The food was amazing. Very large quanity. The food was hot and delicious. I recommend the Habachi chicken and steak. The salsa and Queso was very good. Service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. Tables were clean. The atmosphere was great. Very pretty inside. This is by far now one of my favorite restaurants. We eat at new restaurants regularly. Give them a try!

Tacos were mighty tasty!!! The carnitas and Al pastor were seasoned nicely, tender and very nicely done. Service was quick and friendly. A great stop when in the area.

We missed the lunch rush and before the dinner crowd. Waitress super nice. Food was good and as expected. I'd return.

I loved the shrimp fajitas I got. The chips and salsa was good too. The server was nice and helpful. This place looks like an old dinner that has been updated. You can tell outside they are building a new patio area for guests which I am sure will be nice. Once we came in for dinner, other guests started rolling in after us. I would recommend parking a car in front of the restaurant as it looks deserted otherwise which could be why costumers aren’t there, they think it’s closed. The food was very good. I would highly recommend going here for Mexican food.
